Asics MudMan entries to close at 9pm on Monday

Created On: 24 November 2011

Entries for the second event in the Asics Off Road Race Series will close at 9pm on Monday the 28th of November as racing heads to the grounds of the MOD in Camberley.  Just like IceMan, the first race in the series, the MudMan features both Duathlon and Trail Run events, both of which include tough hills, sweeping descents and lots of mud for competitors to plough through!

The Duathlon features an 8km run, 16km bike and further 8km run, making for a gruelling challenge and the perfect event to build winter fitness and have some fun along the way. The 12km Trail Run winds its way through forests and gullies, featuring terrain that won't get you a PB but will certainly guarantee finishers a definite sense of achievement.

The 2011/2012 Asics Off Road Duathlon Series this year features a new Series Leaderboard, with the top athletes across the five-race series competing for a cash prize and the title of Asics Off Road Series Champion. Currently leading the standings is National Cross Triathlon Champion Richard Stannard, hotly pursued by a host of duathletes, triathletes and off road specialists.

To enter the MudMan, check out the current Series Leaderboard or read about the action so far in the IceMan Race Report visit www.humanrace.co.uk. For photos of the action at IceMan you can check out the official Facebook page of organisers Human Race at www.facebook.com/humanraceevents.

After MudMan on the 3rd of December, the Asics Off Road Series heads to Hankley Common on the 21st of January for WildMan before touching down in Ashdown Forest for TuffMan on the 4th of February. After that the series heads to Kent and Eridge Park for TrailMan on the 10th of March before the grand finale at a top secret location for the PineMan event on Saturday the 14th of April. More details on the sixth and final event to be released very soon at www.humanrace.co.uk.
