2012 the year for Olympic Distance Events with F3 Events

Created On: 06 October 2011

F3 are proud to announce their list of events for 2012. It's been a great 2011 and the team have received so much support, feedback and from the looks on many faces when many of you have crossed the finish line, some great performances and goals achieved.

The 2012 Season kicks off with the annual Maxifuel Winter Run & Duathlon Series, based at Dorney Lake. 2011 saw record numbers take part, with just under 3000 entries for the total number of events. The 5km & 10km Run events distances in 2012 will be given certificates and licenses from certified UK Athletics (UKA) course measurers. This will include the Pre London Marathon Half Marathon on March 24th.

Anyone looking for championship points or official times to be used and qualification into other premier events will be able to use the times from these courses.

The ever popular Maxifuel Winter Duathlon Series takes place on the same days as the running events and attracts athletes from all over the country to test their winter training on the fast, flat and completely closed road circuit.

With 2012 being an Olympic year, where Dorney Lake will be hosting the rowing for the London games, we thought we would add the Olympic Distance Duathlon to the list of events for the series.

Through popular demand and requests the Olympic Distance Duathlon will consist of a 5km Run, 40km Bike finished with a 10km run.

All entries to the winter series are now open, and even without us formally announcing the entries being open, the entries have already had over 50 entries come in, with many of you planning your events already.

We look forward to seeing early in 2012 for another great year of events, goal achievements and challenges being set.

Keep an eye on our facebook page for announcements of the summer events formally opening, where you will hear entries being opened before anyone else and have the opportunity to get the early bird discount on entries.
