Product Review: High:5 4:1 Bar

These bars with a make up of 1 part protein and 4 part
carbs are intended for during exercise and post exercise
use with the view of consuming protein whilst training
(recovery on the go!) and/or a change to your recovery
shake by consuming a bar or two instead.
On test I found these bars very easy to consume on the bike
with no gastric problems, the cranberries in the bar give a sharp
but nice taste to the bar which is also a pleasant change.
On hot rides with the bars in your jersey pockets and
close to the body I found that they did become quite soft
which wasn't the nicest sensation!!
I'm very much a gel man when training and racing long
distance, However the bars do offer a unique "Bar"
taste that I did enjoy very much with the added bonus of
getting on the ever important protein.....but best saved for cooler
days!!
