Race Report: 1.5K and 3.8K Swim Super Series

Created On: 10 July 2010

Thanks to Race Director Toby Jenkins for sending through a report from todays 1.5K and 3.8K Super Swim Series events.

111 athletes took part in today's inaugural Swim Super Series held at Princes Club, Middlesex. After overcoming a few race organiser's issues, such as life boats not turning up, the race got under way and started with treading water.

The 1.5k race went off first, with 3.8k starting 1 minute later and on a different course. The route followed the various inlets and lakes around the Prince's Club and finished on dry land, whilst athletes experienced the excitement of running under the new all about triathlons gantry, adorned with sponsors logos.

Great performances from all athletes of all ages, shapes and sizes meant that the Swim Super Series got off to a great start, now with 2 more races to follow.
