Product Review: Tri Girl Tri Top and Shorts

In the past, I've found it really difficult to find female specific triathlon clothes that fit well. So when given the chance to test triathlon clothing made by a female only triathlon manufacturer I was very excited!
To initially test out the top and shorts in race conditions I chose a sprint triathlon and loved the fit - I achieved 2nd place as well! I also raced in them in a 10km road race in Barbados which I won and the suit was exceptional in the heat!
The sizing is good and the medium fits a UK 10-12, as described. It is a 2 piece tri suit and saves time in transition as it can be worn under your wetsuit and reduces drag on the bike phase. I tried the grape black colour which is subtle in colour but feminine and has a flattering fit.
The tank top is exceptionally comfy and supportive. I didn't need to wear any extra support bra. There are useful pockets at the back which will fit a mobile phone for training or energy gels and bars for racing. The zip at the front of the tank top is useful for extra support or ventilation.
The cycle shorts have a small amount of padding - great for racing but you would probably need more padding for long distance training rides. The suit in general sheds water fairly quickly and the padding in the crotch doesn't act like a sponge.
The mesh back allows for excellent breathability and doesn't compromise the bra support. The mesh helps keep you cool on the run, wicking any sweat away quickly and effectively.
The shorts and tank top are designed for triathlons of all distances but can also be used solely for running and swimming. The material is more chlorine resistant than other tri suits, keeping its shape, support and colour. This suit could be worn for training and racing both long and short course.
I would recommend these female specific shorts and tank top and will definitely buy from this range again. I absolutely loved it and I don't say that very often!
