Meet Chrissie Wellington at The Triathlon Show

Chrissie Wellington, the world's No 1 female Ironman triathlete
and four time World Champion will be at The Triathlon
Show 2013 on 1st to 3rd March.
Visitors to the show will be able to meet Chrissie at the
Brooks stand, H6 on Saturday at 14:45 and Sunday at 12:30. In
addition, to being able to ask her questions of what it takes to
reach the top of the sport and hints and tips, you can buy a get a
signed copy of her hugely successful book, 'A life without limits'
from the Brooks stand. Part memoir, travel diary, and training
guide, this bookis Chrissie's first-hand
account of her unlikely rise to the top. In addition to her
personal story, Chrissie shares training tips, stories and lessons
from around the globe, and what it takes to be a champion in
competitive sport. It's a must-read for all with an interest in the
sport.
The Queen of Kona will also be holding Q&A sessions in the
220 Theatre at 1.30pm on Saturday and 11.30am on the Sunday. Make
sure you arrive early to get a seat!
The undefeated champion of Triathlon has won 13 Ironman titles
and set a new World Record of 8 hours19:13 at Quelle Roth Germany
in 2010, which cut over 14 minutes from the previous record; she
was only beaten by six men. She went on to improve this time by
another minute in the 2011 race. She also set a new world record
for the fastest ever Ironman sanctioned event at Ironman South
Africa in April 2011. In 2009 she was voted '"Sunday Times"
Sportswoman of the Year' and in 2010 was awarded the MBE.

In addition to seeing Chrissie Wellington, visitors to the
Triathlon Show will be able to run in a 10k, 5k or 2k race, as well
as gain lots of information from major triathlon brands. Whether
the visitor is new to multi-sport racing or a veteran long-course
triathlete, The Triathlon Show will provide information on
everything from training plans to choosing the right kit, nutrition
options to how to avoid injury and how to improve your stroke.
There is car and secure cycle parking at Sandown Park. Those
arriving by train should go to Esher station where it is a ten
minute walk to the venue.
