Taking place on the only dry day for weeks, 130 riders set off
from Holdenby House to embark upon a 100 mile, 109km or 21 mile
ride over the rolling countryside of Northamptonshire,
Leicestershire and Rutland. Home baked cakes were provided at feed
stations and riders were fully supported by Red Cross Ambulance,
Raynet Communications and the technical support vehicle
David Hall and Andy Christie completed the 100 mile route in
under 6 hours, with Ian Hartwell and Alistair White first home from
the 109km route, crossing the line together in 3:43:05. The first
lady across the finish was Tracey Ferris after 100 miles and
Jeanette Caldicott after 109km
