ZEROD is delighted to announce that it has recruited double
Olympic Medallist Rebecca Romero MBE as its first UK brand
ambassador. Already working with leading triathletes across the
world, including ITU World Cup winner Kris Gemmell, ZEROD were keen
to work with Rebecca as she takes on her third sport and with it
Ironman UK in July.
Tim Williams of Avalanche Sports Marketing who is distributing
ZEROD in the UK said: "When we discovered that Rebecca was
embarking upon triathlon, we were keen to work with her. Our brand
is all about the passionate triathlete and Rebecca is certainly
that. She is using her years of experience as an Olympic athlete in
two sports and is applying them to her Ironman training. I am sure
that she will inspire many would-be triathletes as well as the more
experienced competitor."
Rebecca, who is combining her training with studying for an MSc
and setting up a performance centre, saw that ZEROD was a good
match for her: "When I met the ZEROD team at the Triathlon Show
last month, I was impressed by their passion for the sport and for
creating a brand with a focus on getting all the small details
right, making for a great quality product. Having swam in the
Vanguard wetsuit in Dorney Lake at 8am in four degrees Celsius last
week, I know that these details matter! I am looking forward to
testing out the kit for real in May when I compete in Ironman
Mallorca 70.3."
In addition to a wetsuit range, there are three ZEROD triathlon
suits, the oSUIT (for sprint and Olympic distance), the iSUIT (for
middle distance and full ironman) & the uSUIT (a suit for all
distances).
ZEROD is available in the UK from Wiggle and Chain Reaction
Cycles.
