Epic Events March 2012 Duathlon week

Duathlon week at Epic Events takes place March 4th to 11th 2012, with 2 fantastic events to kick start your year.

Firefighters 2UP Duathlon, Sunday March 4th

The fire-fighters Duathlon is a unique event which takes place from Belmont near Bolton. The event is a 6k run, 28k cycle and final 6k run, but the catch is, you race the whole event with a partner of choice. On the run you will pace each other and will not be allowed to start the cycle ride unless you are together, if you finish run 1 ahead of your partner, you'll have to wait.

The bike is a classic 2UP time trial format, with pairs riding together to share the workload. You must stay together on the bike course which is a rolling out and back route. Once off the bike you start the second run, once again, you'll not be allowed to start unless your partner is with you.

This event is limited to 100 pairs and is supported by GM Fire Service, get your entry in early and join us for this great event!

Parbold Duathlon, Sunday March 11th

A classic on the North West calendar and one of the best openers for the season. The event is a 5k run, 27k cycle and 5k run. The tricky part of this event is Parbold Hill which you climb on the bike, 3 times in total! This event is always a popular one with both elites and first timers and it has a great 'informal' feel and 'local' atmosphere. The route is tough and at the end you'll be glad to cross the line, the perfect ending to your perfect week.

The event is limited to 150 participants, make sure you don't miss out!
