Challenge Henley 2012 Competition

Created On: 28 November 2011

We are very pleased to announce the final 5 for our competition to win a place at Challenge Henley 2012 iron distance triathlon.  There are two places up for grabs and it is now open to a public vote on Facebook.  It was very difficult  to get to the final five but we have narrowed it down to the following entries:

Chris Sherwood who has help the the GB paratriathlon squad, guiding visually impaired friend Haseeb Ahmad competing with him at national, European and world level.

Chris Gibson who crashed his car on the M25 on the way home from registering at Henley in 2011 and wrote his car off so he couldn't compete.

Rob Creighton former Marine and currently serving as a Fire Fighter.  Rob was nominated by his brother particularly as he has raised over £10,000 for Help for Heroes.

Deon Scheppel has overcome many difficulties in his life including being born with a dislocated hip and being told he probably wouldn't walk.  He likes to prove them wrong!

Blaine Quigley who wishes to race in memory of my dad who died of cancer, but also for people currently suffering or in remission.

To read more about them and to vote go to the Challenge UK page on Facebook www.facebook.com/ChallengeHenley
