Video: Tri Together Taster Session

Created On: 22 June 2011

On Saturday 11 June, Tri Together held a triathlon taster session at Crystal Palace, giving beginners to triathlon a chance to try out the cycle and run course ahead of the day. Check out a video from the day here

The taster session kicked off with some overall triathlon advice and guidance on training and technique from Annie Williams, a qualified sports physiotherapist, swimming coach and experienced Ironman triathlete from Pure Sports Medicine. Dean Baker, a disability triathlon coach from St. Mary's Tri Club, Bexhill was also on hand to offer one-to-one advice on cycling and running technique, as well as Monique from Run Fun Starz Group, a sports activities service based in East London, which encourages young people of all abilities to get into sport.

For disabled athletes, or those suffering from injury, Cycling Projects and Wheels for Well Being provided a great opportunity to try out sports wheelchairs and alternative cycles such as recumbent trikes, hand cycles & tandem bicycles.

If you are taking part in Tri Together and couldn't make it to the taster session, there will be another opportunity for triathlon beginners to get professional advice on all aspects of their training:
