New partner announced for the Ashton Duathlon
Created On: 18 February 2011
DB Max have a new partner on board for the launch of the Ashton
Duathlon on March 27th and there's a healthy cash purse for the
race as a result.
Bespoke hand-crafted kitchen designer Stephen Graver are the
event title sponsors, so there's £500 up for grabs in the elite
category races and £200 in the open races. The £200 prize for the
winning elite male ensures some top quality racing with the likes
of Wayne Smith, Ian Cardy, Lee Piercy, Lee Rankin, David Vaughan
and James Gifillan all looking to race.
It's not just about the top athletes though and there'll be cash
prizes for the open races too. DB Max are also encouraging local
newcomers to take part and offering a relay race to those looking
for an introduction to multisport.
The idyllic West Country village of Steeple Ashton hosts the 5k
run/30k bike/5k run event, with race HQ under the shadow of the
ancient village church. Both the run and bike courses take in some
stunning local scenery from the countryside and surrounding
villages.
The race forms part of the Big Adventure Store Spring Duathlon
Series 2011 - more details are available at www.dbmax.co.uk/.
