Product Review: Aquadiva Water Goddess Collection: Butterfly Effect Swimsuit

Aquadiva Swimwear is an Australian owned company based on the sunny Gold Coast in Queensland. Aquadiva is now in the UK and Europe with professional Triathlete Liz Blatchford and her husband Glen bringing the swimwear to Europe via their website, here we review the Aquadiva Water Goddess Butterfly effect swimsuit.
Fit
The Butterfly Effect suit being tested is a racer cut swimsuit. It features slightly wide straps over the shoulder. I found that it has a medium to high leg fit and the bum is slightly small compared to other swimsuit ranges. The full range includes 4 different cuts in the swimsuits plus bikini and 'monokini' options so an extensive choice of fit and styles are available.
Support
The swimsuit has a firm yet supportive fit. The front of the suit is double lined which I am sure adds to the chlorine resistance. It has a high quality feel and is made of polyester so doesn't have any elastane/lycra so there isn't much stretch in the suit. It feels tight getting into it but once on it feels like a second skin. It is lightweight and repels the water well. I have found it to be a highly comfortable training costume that you can spend hours in the pool in.
Chlorine Resistance
Aquadiva claim their suits can exceed 1000 hours of use in chlorinated and salt water providing you look after it as they recommend. This is an amazing length of time and my use so far has no reason to doubt it.
Value for Money
On first glance, this swimsuit appears more expensive to other brand names on the market. However, if the chlorine and salt resistance claims prove true then in the long term this swimsuit will no doubt be good value for money. The suit does feel and fit like you would expect a high quality suit to. You will probably replace the suit out of choice before the suit loses its shape, colour or support!
Overall
This is a brightly coloured swimsuit which is bound to turn a few heads on poolside! The colours of all the ranges really are very bright but there is also a plain black option if you prefer the simpler look. It is an excellent costume and so far it has lived up to its chlorine resistance claims. The Aquadiva range offers something a bit different to the norm which makes for a nice change and with such excellent long term value it is currently one of the best swimsuits available on the market.
Overall score: 9/10
